With all the info news swirling around on blogs, tv, podcasts and everywhich way and place it’s hard to avoid the news. And none of it is uplifting. It’s wearing me out.
Time to switch the channel and listen to some Bach or the Beach Boys. I know each is a far cry from the other… but either one will go far to dispel this feeling of oppression. The world is going to hell in a handbasket as they say.

The weather, rain and drizzle and cold… doesn’t help. Time to lie down with a good audio book perhaps. I’m listening to Philippa Gregory… set in 16th century England: “The Queen’s Fool”
Going quite well, but I can’t listen at night. If I fall asleep I miss half the book. Better to listen while raking under bushes in the backyard.
I just finished a fabulous memoire by Alison Wearing, Moments of Glad Grace. Given your own adventures hunting down your ancestors in Ireland, I think you would really like this book. Check out your local library. I would expect they would have it, though it most likely would not be an audio. The good old fashioned practice of turning paper pages of a book may be a relaxing antidote as well.
I requested the library book. 🙂 Will let you know when I read it.
