When there are too many cookies to eat all at once, can you freeze them to eat later?

This afternoon I decided to bake a whole bunch of chocolate chip cookies. Just one of those cravings that would not let go. Luckily I had all the ingredients so that made it super easy to do. No running out to the supermarket for an egg or two.
It also left me with more than three dozen cookies. I brought a dozen to my sister who doesn’t live far away… but there is no way I am safe with two dozen delicious cookies sitting in my cookie jar, just begging to be consumed. So what to do?
Can I freeze them? and if I do, how will they taste when I unfreeze them later?
Luckily the people from GLAD (plastic bags and cellophane wraps have a solution. Easy
- Let the cookies cool off.
- Place them in a GLAD Freezer Bag.
- Label the bag with date and contents info in case you forget…
- Place in the freezer. 🙂
- Take out the cookies as needed. In my case, one at a time when I can’t overcome my cravings.
Note: I didn’t check on how long you should keep the cookies in the freezer… How long is too long? But that’s not usually a problem for me. Three months, maybe?
